Parents of a child with ADHD are three times more likely to separate or divorce than are parents of children without ADHD.

The rate of emotional development for children with ADHD is as much as 30% slower than it is for their children without the condition.

For example, a 10-year-old with ADHD operates at the maturity level of about a 7-year-old.

Nearly 2 of 3 children with current ADHD had at least one other mental, emotional, or behavioral disorder.

Raising a child with ADHD or another related disorder is a monumental task that only parents with children who have ADHD understand.

ADHD often causes children to experience an inability to concentrate, an inability to follow directions, forgetfulness, and a tendency to daydream, just to name a few.

These symptoms are likely to push the limits of any kind of parent-child relationship and can cause a series of cascading problems that will likely affect the balance of a family for extended periods of time.

In fact, the presence of ADHD in a child is even linked to divorce rates among parents. Watch this video to find out why.
